I am a natural light photographer here in the Sud-Ouest of Montréal, and I am also Lux’s Mom!
I aim to capture the beauty and connection in the families I photograph, and I strive to give meaningful perspective and validation for the love you FEEL but sometimes cannot always SEE.

The saying of seeing is believing is very powerful in photography, because I have watched people look at their photos and finally SEE their love, their beauty, their uniqueness and their story.

That sort of validation is extremely powerful, and I hope to continue to show people the love they have built for years to come.

I am SUPER excited to be introducing my very popular Mama Love Sessions to all of you!

Below I will explain what Mama Love Sessions are, what to expect in working with me as well as our pricing.

Photography is Healing

If you’re a bit like me, you are a sentimental sort. And this year I am feeling very sentimental.

This year marks the tenth year since I began offering Mama Love photos! 10 years ago I became inspired by a style of photography that I was seeing that captured the raw, heart-wrenching and emotional experience that is Motherhood. I begun to experiment and find a way to bring that out in my own work. This style, with its deep shadows, the highlight of skin on skin, and the pure emotion, not only in the faces of the mothers but in their hands, it moved me so deeply. And in the ten years since I have worked to capture this emotion for my clients, I am reminded of this deep love of this style every year with my Mama Love Sessions.

Sometimes… being a Mom can be painful. At least it can be for me. Don’t get me wrong, I love being a Mom! But all the overthinking, trying to remain calm and regulated while being triggered, and lets not even talk about the immense guilt and sadness I feel when I set boundaries that I know are important for development… being a GOOD Mom is hard haha. And I know from years of working with Mothers, I am not alone.

This is why I say photography is healing. Because, when you see this bond you cherish (and protect and guilt over) in these photos, you will feel an immense sense of validation. You will see yourself as a Mom. Which, for many of the moms I work with is truly the first time they have felt this way. You will see the way your children find their safety with you. You will see how beautiful your smile is while you are watching your child full belly laugh. You will marvel at how big, yet how so small they still are, and how fast time can fly. I know these things, because not only have I felt them myself, but I have clients who have told me how much these sessions have meant to them.

Location: Our Studio in Ville Emard

Mama Love Session is 20 minutes in studio, and we will welcome Dad to join as well for a family photo. However, the session will mainly be focused on Mama and her child(ren).

As always, included in this special session is our full session experience :

Full use of my studio wardrobe, including flattering dresses for mom, and outfits for boys (up to age 2) and girls (up to age 9).
The photo session itself, including editing and retouching your photos.
An online photo reveal appointment after the session is complete, where you can pick your 3 favourite images to download in full resolution.

Price: $150*

FAQs

Not at all! I have done this session for pregnant women, all the way up to Mama's with fully grown children. If you are bringing a newborn to this session, we would be doing mostly photos of mom with baby, in a few different poses, and we would not be able to do intricate newborn posing because that takes a lot of time to do safely.
Of course, family photos are super important! But the focus of the session will be on you and your little one(s).
There will be options to upgrade to more photos if you wish to purchase more, and a portion of those upgrades will be donated to CPE-Riverview as well!
If you wanted to upgrade to purchase 10 more digital photos $200(plus tax - $20 is donated to CPE-Riverview)
If you wanted to upgrade to purchase ALL edited and retouched digital images in your gallery $300(plus tax - $50 is donated to CPE-Riverview)
But just to be clear, you do not HAVE to upgrade, this is just a courtesy in case you love more than 3 photos! <3
Your worry is very valid, kids can be so unpredictable. These photos are not sit and look at the camera photos, if you remain present and playful, your kid will TOTALLY respond to that! I will give guidance with posing and for best lighting, but truly this is about you seeing (and believing) just how beautiful your bond is.
If we end up with just a full-on meltdown, we can always find a time in our regular schedule to reschedule you in. I will not give up until we get you those photos with your little loves!
